Unable to Update Base Directory in File Migration Policy

Overview

In TeleScope versions between 9.4.0.7 and 9.4.0.17, there was a bug due to which trying to change or set the Base Directory for a File Migration Policy would not work as expected. This can be reproduced by clicking on Choose in the Base Directory section (while creating a new File Migration Policy or editing an existing one) which would bring up a window listing the File Brokers available but clicking on any broker link wouldn't show the filesystem location available with that broker.

Solution

This issue was addressed in Telescope Executive 2020.1. It is recommended to upgrade to this or a later version. If your TeleScope installation has customizations or you're an OnDemand customer, please contact your Account Manager or support for further assistance with upgrading.

 

Testing

After updating, clicking on any one broker in the File Brokers window, the list of filesystem locations available to that broker should be visible, and selectable to be set as the Base Directory.
