Overview

eciRGB files uploaded to Telescope were classified as sRGB files in the Info metadata field in Telescope. Although downloading the file would again restore back the value to eciRGB in the downloaded file's metadata.

Solution

This was due to how ImageMagick, a third-party library, used as an I-Piece read color profiles from uploaded files. This issue was fixed in Telescope Standard 2020.1 and it is recommended to upgrade your Telescope version to this or later to fix this issue. If your Telescope installation has customizations or you're an OnDemand customer, please contact your Account Manager or support for help with upgrading.

Testing

eciRGB files should not be classified as sRGB files in Telescope once the upgrade is done.
